The Buck Never Stops

"Blessed are the young for they shall inherit the national debt." Former president Herbert Hoover once said. What ever happens, no matter how high the national debt skyrockets, future generations will be the ones to inevitably suffer. Hitting the American people like a train, the government shoves it's greedy tubes into every orifice, draining the economy to cover their asses. I highly doubt this stimulus bill will be effective. Money going every which way is only going to tear the wound, not repair it. People know where in a "recession" yet they go out anyway having a good time buying over priced movie tickets, game consoles, and dinners. Lets not worry about reality and go about life in a daze. Boggles my mind how people can be so tight with money when it comes to nessesity and so very loose when it comes to leisure activity. Like this bill, just spending, pork barrels left and right, it's disgusting. I actually wonder if the American people had a say in the bill would it of changed? Average people are ignorant, with the bill not in layman, most wouldn't even understand half of what was going on. We put blind faith in the leaders we elect, we are to blame, I as well. I'll admit I vote, politicians and there way with painting a beautiful picture of will be if elected. I fall for it time and time again. I'll suffer just the same.

Don't Think, Join.

In no way am I against the armed forces, but their methods of enlistment in my opinion are persistantly terrifying. I understand recruiters are the military's salepeople and good salespeople they are indeed. Recruiters came to my highschool just as they did every highschool on the prowl for young, influential bodies ripe for the picking. Holding push-up contests and giving away free military shirts, pens, and 16 bit graphic computer games they put on a convincing show in public of being nice. Recruiters then distribute out cards and pamphlets with their information to sow the seeds. From the expierience and ambiance of the highschool encounter, to the actual recruiting station is a entirely different story. From being almost to completely comfortable at the highschool encounter, here the naive indidvidual has no idea of the surroundings and is as nervous as can be. They start by getting some rapport, ask a few questions pretending to be your buddy and out of nowhere lay the pressure on thick. "I'll need you to bring your highschool dipolma, social security card, and your birth certificate in tommorow. Can you do that for me?" You wanna say "No" everything is going too fast, what was once just a curiosity has just evolved into a commitment. In the event you say "No" the recruiters just pelt you with more questions, drillign into your mind until you change your tune. I remember sitting by myself there telling him "I have to really think about it." His reply "What's there to think about?" I stare blankly back, there's one of me, and roughly from my rusty recollection at least four recruiters all with their eys cast upon me. Peer pressue had taken affect, I conceded. You the reader might think to yourself that the situation just shared will never happen to you. Honestly I thought the same way, but when your surrounded and alone your mind gets altered. It's the same principle with teens and their influences with drugs and alcohol, everyone is doing it Why aren't you? With that said, again the armed forces is an excellent route for a lot of people. Don't rush anything and unlike the title, think before you join.

"Go Help Yourself"

Why is it that most times someones ask for help they end up helping themselves. People are getting real lazy nowadays. Just this morning I was getting ready for school, I ask my mom " Hey, could you please open the office door I need a pair of underwear" While she was sitting on the couch, eyeballs burned into the television screen replied " No, go help yourself." Wow, thanks mom! i search and search, yet come up fruitless. in the end I free balled, but thats beside the point. Moments after this eccentric decision my mother then asks me to get her cloths out of the laundry and to wake up the boys. Do I help her? Why? Such laziness must be rewarded with assistance, right? No way jos'e! Screw people like that. It always brings me back to the parable I believed to be called "The Little Red Hen." Everyone is too lazy to put in the effort to help, but have their hands out when all is said and done.

Mathematics

Without a doubt I can say, I love Math. Math was my favorite subject in high school and math is my favorite class in college. I loved almost every class that didn't have a bubbly blond ditz sitting directly in front of me asking redundant questions. Though, I'm nearly not as smart as some people in the field, I try my hardest to reach that point. My true calling in life I believe is to be a math teacher, but by economical reason my dreams must be tucked away to pursue the career of a nurse, I digress. Anything can be explained with numbers. My favorite late night television series "Numb3rs" time and time again show how math can and is used to predict a criminals next move. Math is universal. If you gathered up people from all over the world; Chinese, Germans, Italians, Russians, Americans, Japanese, French, and Spanish though their languages and cultures are worlds apart, math is understood the same. Where ever you go the Pythagorean theorem will indefinitely remain the same. Take my advice, learn all you can. Learn math, learn science, learn english, learn everything. The old saying holds true "Knowledge is power."

Feather your Nest!

The concept of morality is often misconstrued. Is it moral to give to the poor? Is is moral to help a friend in need? Yes it sounds moral, but what are the intentions of the person swooping into help? For example, say a man and his friend where in line for food. One of the men forgot his wallet and the line is so long and the car is so far away that its impossible to go back, retrieve it and return. The buddy then suggests to him that he will offer to pay. Kind gesture? Sure, but what are the true intention. Does this friend want him under his thumb, so that he who borrows the money is obligated to a favor. Thats when it becomes immoral. Politicans know this rule all to well, they live it, breathe, eat it and drink it.

If you want to be popular, if you want to have friends, if you want to have favors simply do apparently nice things for people over and over. People will flock to you and feel obligated to you for doing such favors for them big and small that when the time arises for you to need them, they will beckon to your call.

How to Make Money

I sit in my dark room, laid off. What the hell am I to do now? No job and a whole lot of pride. I can ry to put myself out on the market, but that will take a while seeing that there are way too many people, way to high of a demend, and way not enough open positions to fulfill everyones need. So as I sit, I wonder... These came to mind.

1. Sell useless items (guitar, keyboard, amp, etc) on either craigslist or Ebay. Ebay the way to go I think, craigslist you have blithering idiots who either want to barter or scam you.

2. Pick up a profitable hobby. Make something people want. Example: Greeting cards, candles, and flower bouquets. Seems lame, but people go for it!

3. Sell you skill. Personally I'm good at card illusions, guitar, and well intune with mathematics so putting on shows or becoming a tutor sound good to me! Problem with this one is you need to advertise, but if you really are determined it's possible!

4. Gambling. Risky business, I myself am not a gambler unless the odds are great in my favor or I have a leg up on the situation.

5. Adsense your blog if you have one. I'm doing this right now!

6. Contests and scholarships. Writing contests are big, a good way to beef up your vocab and hopefully get paid in the process. Either way you walk away with something!

7. Beg and Panhandle. For the shameless, whip out the old hat and busted guitar and say "God Bless You" to every pedestrian that crosses your path!

8. Try to find a new job! It will be tedious staring at a computer screen to repeatly fill out resume after resume, hopefully it will be worth it though.

9. Recycle. Aluminum, copper and brass are all worth shiny pennies. Just don't go ripping off someones siding or plumbing. Recycling is a big one!

10. Odd jobs. Yard work, cleaning, moving, transporting all things people ned help with lend a helping hand and they will come back for more! You could start your own business if you wanted!

I can't think of anymore ideas that fall in the realm of legal. So with that I say hope you learned something or found a new way of making some cold hard cash the honest way! Hooray!

Life Compromised for Safety

How many people would, by impulse, go skydiving? How many people would bungee jump off a bridge? Not many. People lives are trite, we live day in and day out in boring repetition. I'm not saying I'm any different, but I try at every given moment to spice things up (within legal limitations!! Hehe) Compromising living with safety. One in a hundred people would rush into a burning building to save a life. We individually value our lives. this is not a bad thing, but it does prevent experiences and memories from being made. Now ask yourself the previous questions, but this time pretend you were in a plane that was about to crash. Would you jump then? My guess is yes. Again, we value life, we take the same action and put it in a different situation. Why did the answer change, did all of a sudden our fear of jumping before die? No the idea went from free will to nessesity to survive. My point is this, don't live to survive, live to live. Take a bite out of the ripest apple of life and keep eating!

Obamination!

No problems with race, no problems with status, no problems. When they tell me the goverment is gonna tax my money, then we have a problem. This stimulus bill is a joke and in no way going to benefit me. It targets poor people, people who are already mooching off the system to begin with. You must spend money to make money money is the arguement presented to allow this bill to be passed. We have NO money, we have integrity, we have no jobs. People threw out american tradition and quality and bartered it for cheap labor and mass production. I also like how we don't even care though. Each passing day it seems the goverment has more and more control over us. No questions asks, we just go along like a the naive lamb to the slaughter. With Barracks exceptional public speaking skills he riles up the crowds into a frenzy chanting "CHANGE! CHANGE! CHANGE!" desperatly people want change, people love change, change is usually good. Personally I'm a nostolgic kinda guy, but this "Change" thing even got to me. Which is why I voted for him. He's so sincere thats it's hard not to trust him even though he's a politican. I can't be 100% certain of anything, but I have an idea of what will most likely happen. I think this bill is gonna flop, I think the bill was a dumb idea, I think this bill could of better if they asked the public. Goverment officials think they know what's good for society. Weirdly the public didn't even get to see the bill til it was passed. The people own the goverment, the goverment should obey the people. Instead its been reversed, the people obey the goverment, turning our democracy slowly into something we all will dread.

Global Warming

My idea of global warming is this...it's happening. I agree with the fact the earth is heating up. I also agree with the fact that as a society we pollute excessivly. What i do not agree ith is the relation between global warming and our pollution. With the little information we really know about the earth, how certain can we be that this just isn't a phase? Anthropologists say that the earth has undergone numerous ice ages, why can't this be one. Influential beings alarm the public with horrific documentaries and promote pollution to get rid of pollution. In the end it's just a cheap ploy to rake in the money. Targeting people's fears and offering a swift solution is the key to getting deep in a sucker's wallet. Elections are held the same way, whoever can instill the most fear and counter with the swiftest and appealing answer will be elected. I don't worry about global warming, but I do worry about the goverment's distraction of global warming to pull unethical movements.

Making Money on Adsense

My thoughts are simple ones. Adsense to the novice, me included is not a waste, but more a let down. Websites claim to have the answers, they don't. What they do seem to have are a whole bunck of ads themselves basically suckering those naive people into clicking. Very clever, it reminds me of all these people selling How to get rich books and DVDs. The only people that will end up getting rich are the guys who are selling to suckers. You might argue that you yourself have purchased such items and that you yourself have made money. You will never make nearly as much as they say you will. See if it really worked more people would buy, and also if it worked why would they sell the secret and ruin their own business? DUMB and Adsense is no better. Even if you make $100 dollars your making google $1000 dollars. Did you think they would pay you for nothing?
